Coaching isn’t just a training plan
Most training guidance focuses on workouts. This starts earlier with how training fits into your life, your recovery, and your body's actual response. The goal isn't perfect training. It's staying healthy enough to keep doing it.
My Approach
I treat endurance athletes every day in a clinical setting. It’s there I get to see what happens when training decisions ignore recovery, life stress, and subtle warning signs: stress fractures, tendon breakdowns, and burnout that could have been avoided with better information earlier.
Coaching is how I help athletes address those things before they become problems. Progression is intentional, recovery is accounted for, and adjustments are made based on how you're actually responding. That clinical lens is what separates this from a generic training plan or a purely metric-driven approach.
The goal isn’t perfect training. It’s sustainable progress.

Coaching is best suited for Runners who…

What this is - and what it isn’t
This is:
Individualized training guidance for runners
A longevity & performance-first approach informed by clinical experience
Ongoing adjustment based on recovery, stress, and response to training
This is not:
Medical care or physical therapy
Injury diagnosis or rehabilitation
A substitute for in-person clinical treatment
Over the past several years, I’ve worked exclusively with endurance athletes in a clinical setting—seeing firsthand what derails progress and what builds resilience. That experience shapes how I approach training: prioritize consistency, manage load intelligently, and build strength that lasts.
“I had seen other physical therapists before, but the answer was always the same: rest. I wanted to keep running, not sit on the sidelines indefinitely.
Ben assessed the root of the problem and developed a plan that kept me moving while addressing the injury.
The first six months of 2025 have been my most consistent stretch of running ever. I stayed injury-free and ran my first marathon in eight years one minute under my goal time.”

“After being diagnosed with a stress fracture, Ben assured me I’d be back — and he was right.
We addressed imbalances no other PT had identified. Twelve weeks later I was racing again. Recently I completed a 4x4x48 with no pain and am stronger and faster than before.”
— VZ
“Ben was by far the most thorough physical therapist I’ve worked with. Every visit tested and refined new solutions. I feel confident I can continue running pain-free.”
— GS
“Ben’s initial evaluation was far more thorough than others I’d seen. He didn’t just treat the flare-up — he got to the core of my recurring tendon issues.
We redesigned my strength work to build durability for long days on the bike while addressing the overtraining at the root of my injuries.”

While my coaching is primarily structured around running currently, athletes with a cycling or triathlon focus are welcome to reach out. The same principles apply: load management, recovery, and long-term durability don't change with the sport.
